For anyone else having this problem, eventually I traced it back to one of the PSU mounting screws being a little too long and pushing onto the circuit board inside therefore shorting out the outer metal case.

I guess that I was surprised at how much difference simply changing the make of PLA made to the print quality. Hi there Yes the power selector switch is set to the correct voltage for the UK. As soon as I switch on the mains power to the psu trips out the mains supply to my house! I have disconnected to 4 pin connector to the control unit and it still happens. Could there be a problem with the psu? Thanks fo...

Power Supply Tripping main electric
Just finish building a ProB.
When I connect the PSU to the UK mains, the unit trips out my home supply. Can you let me know why this is happening and how it an be rectified?
