Thanks William.
As a follow-up to this, I've switched from using SD card printing to using Octoprint and the M25 pause issues are not present in this method.
So the issue is with SD card printing.

M25 pause issues
Hi. I'm using Cura 4.0 and a custom script to pause the print at a certain height (using M25 command) but it looks like there is a bug in the Smartto firmware. I thought it was the custom script so I simply added an M25 where I wanted it to pause which the printer did (and re-homed itself - although...

Re: Z axis rate issue plus other issues
Thanks all for the confirmation that this is a bug that everyone is experiencing. @apak - thanks for your suggestion of levelling the other 4 points. My process was a little more complex but got the same result but I'll try your version instead. I too have a badly scratched super plate but that is m...

Re: Z axis rate issue plus other issues
Hi all. Would someone be so kind and replicate the following steps on their A30 and see if you get the same result as me please? 1. Home all the axis 2. Select manual levelling 3. Press point 5 4. Use the Z UP or Z DOWN to adjust the z-axis level (this is important - you must press a button at least...

Re: Z axis rate issue plus other issues
Thanks I managed to update the firmware finally after using a different SD card in the side of the machine when upgrading the LCD firmware.

Z axis rate issue plus other issues
So I have the major issues with my A30 right now that I hope you can give some help with please. 1. The z axis is going up and down at different rates. I tried increasing the z A4988 driver to 1.1V with no change in the issue. I even reduced the voltage down to 0.6V again without it fixing the issue...

Re: A30 not responding on boot
Fortunately a new A4988 has brought the printer back to life! Now I just need to resolve the other issues (see my other thread)!

Re: A30 not responding on boot
I have removed the z A4988 driver from the board and it now boots successfully with temperatures being red.
When I plug it back in, same non-responsiveness.
Seems like a broken A4988 driver after adjusting the voltage.

A30 not responding on boot
Hi. My A30 is no longer responding to any commands on boot. This was after I carefully adjusted the A4988 stepper motor driver's voltage on the Z-axis as instruction from my support contact (I'm not inexperienced with this as I've adjusted the voltages before so I know what I'm doing!) On boot I not...

Re: Auto-leveling
@alienmoon - since I wrote that post I've switched back to manual leveling and to be honest my prints are great. I don't think auto-leveling would make any improvement.
So for now I'm sticking with manual leveling until such time as Geeetech conclusively prove that the auto-leveling is fixed.
